WE ARE PARTICULARLY EXCITED ABOUT THIS COLLABORATION AS WE ARE BRINGING  BACK SARI SHRYACK AS A GUEST CURATOR!

ART IS NEEDED MORE THAN EVER THESE DAYS. WE ARE FACING CHANGES IN THE WORLD THAT AFFECT ALL OF US. CREATING ART HAS BEEN THE MOST SOOTHING THING FOR MANY. IT IS ALSO A GREAT REMINDER OF THE BEAUTY ARTISTS CAN BRING AND ARE BRINGING TO THE WORLD. 

IN THIS SHOW, WE WANT TO EXPLORE THE POWER OF COLOUR AND ITS EFFECTS ON THE WORLD. WE ARE INTERESTED IN YOUR MESSAGE THROUGH YOUR ART AND THE USE OF COLOUR. 

 

WE ARE INVITING ALL ARTIST MOTHERS TO SUBMIT TO THIS CALL FOR ART TO SHARE THEIR EXPERIENCES WITH THE WORLD. WHETHER YOU CREATE ABSTRACT PIECES, FIGURATIVE ART OR LANDSCAPES, IF COLOUR IS THE MAIN FEATURE OF YOUR ART, THIS ONE'S FOR YOU.

ABOUT THE GUEST CURATOR​ SARI SHRYACK

Sari Shryack is an oil and acrylic painter based out of Austin, Texas. Her colorful works cover many different subjects and techniques including landscape, still life, portraits, disco balls and even memes. Born in 1991, Sari attended Drury University and studied under painting professor Todd Lowery; she graduated with a degree in Fine Arts in 2014. Sari lives with her husband and two young children.

ELIGIBILITY

 

Submissions are open to women creatives (regardless of their age, location, education, sexual orientation, race).

For this particular exhibit, we are looking for visual artists who are also mothers - photographers, painters, sculptors, fiber artists, installation artists etc. from all around the world. 

No art education necessary.

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

 

Website and/or social media handles.

Artist bio, artist statement and explanation of your work uploaded directly to the form (under 300 words each).

Up to 5 pieces of art (min 72 DPI, max 1.5 MB, no older than 2019).

Annotated image list including information about submitted images (number, title, dimensions, media, year of completion).

Submission fee:

 EUR 25

All images of artwork and rights relating to them, including copyright and ownership rights remain the property of the artist.

All open call entries require a non-refundable submission fee. This non-refundable submission fee goes towards supporting our community of artists, creating opportunities and enhancing visibility online.

A portion of the submission fees will be donated to a humanitarian organization People In Need (peopleinneed.net) that currently supports people affected by the current conflict in Ukraine. 

Each open call is carefully curated, therefore, submission itself does not guarantee the artist being selected. Please allow up to 4 weeks to hear from us back.

Should you experience any issues with uploading your files, submit the required work and information in an email to artmumsunited@gmail.com. We will send you a PayPal invoice.
